right here was my idea i only tried 2 cer files that was ca24 and ca27the 1's we already use

the idea bassically was instead of putting the charles certificate into a 3.60 ps3 "which we cant do"

why not put the 3.60 ca24.cer certificate into charles because either way the cer's have to the same info in both files

eg: charles cer from the program renamed it to ca24.cer and replaced in ps3

i got the 3.60 cer''s out of a rebuild folder which was posted on ngu

i cant test them all because i dnt have access to a 3.60 ps3 i borrow my neighbours sometimes when i want to try things

what did u use to open the ca24 bud ?
i used notepad but i dont get the same thing as u at all

i used notepad aswell thats all thats in the cer

if on the otherhand after u have opened it in notepad

right clikc the cer and go to open with

then click crypto shell extension there is were u find all the info

yes thats the way i done it bud are u gonna try replace the vsh folder from ofw3.60 into the 3.55 cfw and the ca24 cert ?
doubt it will brick any ps3's at the most u would need to format ps3 drive in a pc

i have noticed that ca24.cer is not valid

ca14 on the otherhand is "verisign" and is valid

i think because the cer is not valid that is y charles is displaying certificate invalid

may have to try cer14 instead of 24

im using the certificates to replace the charles certficate in the program because after all these are already in 3.60ofw

we need a certificate in charles to be able to decrypt ssl traffic and if this somehow works then we will be able to clearly see the passphrase " from a 3.60 ofw ps3 that is "

this has nothing to do with replacing files in a 3.55 cfw ps3

ca24 is not valid because when u double click on it and open it look at the dates on it the from and to 23/02/1996 to 23/02/2006

yea i got the 3.60 rebuild folder on my desktop the 1 from the main page of my thread

but i think the verisign 1 will work because in charles when u dnt have ssl proxying on u can see it says verisign

also in charles certificate invalid/unknown im not sure which 1 it says now

but the ca14 and a few others are valid

i dnt no if we have to use 24 or 27 for a reason

no unless you left click the ca25 cert and click install certificate button which might make it valid or activate it on your pc bud


both ca24 and ca27 are expired but and ca27 is year 2010 expiry date
