First of all. I made this thread mainly because i've seen alot of people requesting download links for their desired CFW in different sections of this forum, because the original link went down. So I thought... Instead of making alot of unnecessary threads, let's just collect them all into one single thread.
I will keep the download links up to date, and take requests if needed. Any help would be appreciated, and It would be to great help if anyone could name up some CFW’s to add up. This is because I’ve lost count of them due to being out of the scene for some time. Also some of this may already be posted, but as far as i've seen the links have either been outdated or spread around in different threads.

Frequently Asked Questions!

How do I install a custom firmware?
1. Connect a USB stick to your computer.
2. In the root of your USB stick, make a folder called "PS3".
3. Go inside the "PS3" folder and make another folder called "UPDATE"
4. Inside the "UPDATE" folder, place your custom firmware.
5. Rename the custom firmware to PS3UPDAT.PUP
6. Connect it to your PS3 and go to system update!

My firmware is 3.56 or higher, can I jailbreak it?

As of the today, you can NOT jailbreak any firmware higher than 3.55! You will be able to downgrade, but some people may find it hard. (It's not free)| Search around on Google or the forum for more information about downgrading.

How do I check my firmware version?

Go to "Settings"
Go to "System Settings"
Go to "System Information"

How do I install Geohot's custom firmware?

Geohot's custom firmware is a patch for the official 3.55 firmware. To install it you need to have the official 3.55 firmware from Sony already installed. Afterwards you just install it like any other custom firmware.

I heard somthing about downgrading but im kinda stuck there.

There is no jailbreak for 3.56 or later released to the public. Downgrading is possible yes. You will need a downgrade chip and have some knowledge with soldering. But tbh I don't know much about downgrading. You better google it yourself Winky Winky

Depends on what your going to use them for. Personally I use kmeaw. Ultimate is probably better though. Go for Ultimate =D White edition.

Just bought recently one PS3 slim CECH-3004B with 3.66 firmware; i google for some jailbreak or even a temp hack on this version and cant find anything; really dont know what to do: to stay on this version and wait or to update for the last firmware 4.0?

Quick question!!

In order to get the 3.55 jailbreak, I need to download the official 3.55 firmware first correct? Will the downgrade work from a 4.0???

I can't even find a link to make it a 3.55...
