(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey guys, over the festive period, i have taught myself how to solder,

so i soldered a progskeet to one of my ps3 slims.

took some pictures, was quite involved........ but well worth the experience. i have got pretty confident with soldering now.

the best tip i can give somebody that attempts this? ............ patiance, take your time, and check each and every connection before powering up.

works 100% and i am very happy with the results.

That's some impressive work there. You didn't know how to solder before doing this? and what was the total cost of this?

i just brought a 15w iron with fine tip, no clean liquid flux and kynar wire. and practice on a scrap pcb. since the install i have used solder paste and hot air. just as good, but with less chance of damage to the board

It ain't that hard to solder once you have done a few wires on a practice board it is easy as eating a mcdonalds BIG MAC ! Smile
