Question: Will my homebrew apps & MultiMan work on this?
Answer: No. Unsigned Apps/Homebrew apps including backup managers & etc will NOT work on this firmware.

Question: Can we run the backup games on this version? you can return a cfw on this version? it can be installed on a 4.55 OFW?
Answer (by Habib himself): "no , no backup games can play on this version.

Question: What's the point of this CFW then?
Answer: Well, there's not much you can do while on this MFW/CFW, but there are a few uses & advantages using this firmware. It's basically 99.8% OFW 4.55. Nothing's been modified whatsoever except 2 small ECDSA checks (that blocks instalation of CFW) that have been removed.. So for the advantages one example you could use it for plat syning (plat games on a latest CFW like habib, Rogero, or rebug & install this DB OFW & safely after sign-in & sync (with minimum ban risk).
Another reason/plus i can think of is for if you don't have +2 PS3s (one that's on OFW & used for data-transfering from the CFW). Instead of DT'ing, Installing this DB C/OFW which is essentially OFW, eliminates the need to transfer to another OFW PS3... You can play custom patches online, GTA4 & old CoD patches comes to mind for example. DLC fixes, Edats + Edat PSN unlocked games, and this & that etc...

Question: ooohh really?? what about eboots, will modded eboots work on this then?
Answer: Short answer, No. Sorry modified/unsigned eboots wil not work.

Question: How does it work switching between CFW's?
Answer: After you've installed this 4.55 DB & would like to switch back to CFW, there are two ways if i'm not mistaken,. Easy/less steps way is you need a on syscon 4.55+ CEX CFW. Basically a latest & not spoofed 4.55 CFW. (i advise & recommend Habib's "ZER0 4.55 V1.00" i've used it myself, it's good & it's the stablest with no reports of bricks). EDIT: There is also Rogero 4.55 (You must login or register to view this content.). And as of still today there is still no CEX 4.55 CFW released by Rebug.

The other way which involves more steps is downgrading: Using Rogero's downgrader pup (which sets the syscon to 9.99) you can use it & it'll fully & successfully downgrade install 3.55 but with syscon set to 9.99 . So you need to after dehash & ye set syscon back to 3.55, so enable/toggle QA & after via recovery mode install either 3.55 OFW, Kmeaw 3.55 or "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7". Your choice which you decide BUT definitely one of them before if after you want to install a 4.XX CFW or convert to DEX, or else your PS3 might possibly brick!.

Love these MFWs sooooo much, can plat hack and transfer unlocked DLC over to my PS3 on CFW then update to this and use it all online.

But yeah, since there are no LV1 or LV2 syscal patches done to this MFW, nothing requiring the resigning of files will run on this like eboots or homebrew.

And no, this simply has the ECDSA check disabled so CFWs from the 3.55 exploit can be installed over it. It cannot be installed over 3.56+ OFW due to your console still having the checks enabled. So don't ask.

Really good to update your CFW to this when your not using it.

And yeah same me too, i too quite like these Habib DB OFWs. Very useful & good is. My CFW PS3 current inside HDD has Habib's 4.50 DB and was hoping & waiting patiently for the past few days for his/this latest 4.55 DB one

is this safe for any slim models??Esp the 160 gb ones??

Sounds interesting specially the syncing trophies part if I understood it correctly, you could sync trophies from a CFW to this BD OFW?
If there was a guide written on installing, syncing trophies, etc. that would be great.

It's just a pity I have to wait for Rebug 4.55 before I can try this out.
