Features:
1.matches ofw structure
2.same size as ofw
3.same metadata used for encrypting modules from which ecdsa checks removed(lv0's isoldr and spu_pkg_rvk_verifier)
4.disabled 2 ecdsa checks to allow installation of cfw over(tested with my 4.55 but any should work if syscon set to 4.55)
this db ofw is EVEN MORE STEALTHED!!!
so its probably the highest approach what people can get!

Question: What's the point of this CFW then?
Answer: Well, there's not much you can do while on this MFW/CFW, but there are a few uses & advantages using this firmware. It's basically 99.8% OFW 4.55. Nothing's been modified whatsoever except 2 small ECDSA checks (that blocks instalation of CFW) that have been removed.. So for the advantages one example you could use it for plat syning (plat games on a latest CFW like habib, Rogero, or rebug & install this DB OFW & safely after sign-in & sync (with minimum ban risk).
Another reason/plus i can think of is for if you don't have +2 PS3s (one that's on OFW & used for data-transfering from the CFW). Instead of DT'ing, Installing this DB C/OFW which is essentially OFW, eliminates the need to transfer to another OFW PS3... You can play custom patches online, GTA4 & old CoD patches comes to mind for example. DLC fixes, Edats + Edat PSN unlocked games, and this & that etc...
Question: ooohh really?? what about eboots, will modded eboots work on this then?
Answer: Short answer, No. Sorry modified/unsigned eboots wil not work.
Question: How does it work switching between CFW's?
Answer: After you've installed this 4.55 DB & would like to switch back to CFW, there are two ways if i'm not mistaken,. Easy/less steps way is you need a on syscon 4.55+ CEX CFW. Basically a latest & not spoofed 4.55 CFW. (i advise & recommend Habib's "ZER0 4.55 V1.00" i've used it myself, it's good & it's the stablest with no reports of bricks). EDIT: There is also Rogero 4.55 (You must login or register to view this content.). And as of still today there is still no CEX 4.55 CFW released by Rebug.
The other way which involves more steps is downgrading: Using Rogero's downgrader pup (which sets the syscon to 9.99) you can use it & it'll fully & successfully downgrade install 3.55 but with syscon set to 9.99 . So you need to after dehash & ye set syscon back to 3.55, so enable/toggle QA & after via recovery mode install either 3.55 OFW, Kmeaw 3.55 or "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7". Your choice which you decide BUT definitely one of them before if after you want to install a 4.XX CFW or convert to DEX, or else your PS3 might possibly brick!.

Think so.. Can't say for sure personally, as a slim 250 GB model i've got is on OFW. although i've successfully installed it on my fat (CECH-L) PS3 a few times now... But i haven't heard/read about any PS3 brick reports on this.

But best to be safe though just in case, better to be safe than sorry they say. I advise you don't use with your main/primary account if you don't want to risk it. Even if there is a slight chance/risk after all.

Yes correct, you mod/hack plat your games on a CFW of your choice & after clear history & pushlist via MultiMan & also delete i recommend any/all homebrew apps on your console before installing & PSN signing into this DB 4.55 firmware... After that sync trophies "Sync with Server" & if/once passes +5%/6%, the new trophies/platinums have successfully sync'd & you can then stop sync process (if you don't want all previous/old plats folders to appear in your PS3.

Would it be safe for me to install the DB firmware from 4.46 Rogero Cobra edition QA Flagged, then go directly back to Rogero 4.46 cobra?

Installing this over that if on is CEX CFW i don't see why not & why should be a problem, but if you've got a 4.55 spoof on i advise removing it before installing this... "go directly back to Rogero 4.46 cobra" though i'm not too sure to be honest, if the QA flag will stay/stick on or not after installing this.. You have to try for yourself & let us know. Although I personally don't have any experience on Cobra dongles or cobra integrated CFWs TBH. So, sorry i personally myself can't honestly or confidently say for sure.. Oh or perhaps you meant with 2 hard drives, correct? 1 PS3 but 2 hard drives for it, 1 hard drive on a 4.55 CEX CFW & the other HDD on this 4.55 DB-OFW + with the DLCs yeah?
