you must have CFW installed i have kemaw installed.

rip the game disc to a hard drive, via your chosen backup manager and then plug in external hard drive to pc to modify the files or use FTP to access game files remotly from your ps3 if installed on internal HD.

follow this guide to modify the files (don't add spaces in STestFile2= and DATA/FALLOUT i just did that to stop smiley appearing) and download this file, for external hard drive users the game will be located in the "GAMEZ/BLES00901/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA" folder.

1. FTP into PS3
2. Navigate to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30500/USRDIR or where your backup FO:NV game is
3. Grab Fallout.ini and download it to your PC
4. Rename the Fallout.ini in your PS3 to Fallout.bat
5. Upload your .ESP mods to the /DATA folder. Make sure the names of the mods are in all CAPS
6. Open the Fallout.ini on your computer and edit the STestFilex= fields to your mods. Mine looks like this:

7. Scroll down to sEssentialFileCacheListE= and add your mods to the list. Here's mine as an example of what it'd look like:

8. Save it, then upload your edited .ini into the USRDIR folder

Once you get the hang of it, adding new mods is pretty fast. Basically edit the Fallout.ini at the STestFile and sEssentialFileCacheListE fields, then upload the mod into the DATA folder.

once you have done all this eject your hard drive from windows or close your FTP client, load the game up on your ps3 and fast travel to doc's house in goodsprings.

For step 7 you can also add "DATA/*.ESP" (without quotes). This will load all .ESP files in one go. Make sure to add it after DATA/FALLOUTNV.ESM (i think thats the name anyway) or the files may not load. Also make sure all your mods are in the DATA folder!

[s]if you use the DNS bypass which still works on CFW 3.55 you can sync trophies because of the way the script works. It unlocks the achievements the same way the game would but "over-riding" what is required for it too unlock. So yeh you can sync [/s]

Edit:
To correct myself here the DNS bypass NO LONGER WORKS. I'm sure it was working untill a couple of nights ago but when you try to go online now it asks for system update. So either update (Bad idea) or sit tight and hope for a 3.56 CFW (good idea)

if you go to the fallout 3 nexus page there are many mods there for FO3. They all install the exact same way at NV as this guide details so not hard to do

ok i had the backup and had to use a pkg to use this backup now i have this folder called fonv0003 or something and i put the files there and the weird thing is i start the game up and i hear nothing from the guy it skips all dialouge and once i go to the backyard nothing happens, i have stood there for awhile....i have the canadian version of the game so there are 2 ini's FALLOUT_ENGLISH.ini and FALLOUT_FRENCH.ini so i just took the ini u made and renamed them to say english and french so the game would run ,...... now nothing it just doesnt load the trophies up no ring lol HELP>.......REP will be given for those who help me figure this out.
