The glitch only works with update 1.10 hence you have to downgrade if you want to use the glitch and before I receive another million questions on how to downgrade here is how it works:
Delete the GT5 game data in the game data utility folder on your ps3 and then start the game. Now download and install all updates up to the sixth one which is 1.10. As soon as update 7 starts (got 62 MB) press the circle button to cancel. That's it.
Keep in mind that you lose everything that is saved in the game data (pictures, replays and thumbnails). You will also lose the cars from 2011 if you played on version 2.0 already. No need to say that you can't go online with GT5 if you play on an older version.
Always keep a backup copy of your savefile on a USB-stick just to be on the safe side.

With the new Update Polophony created you CANNOT enter the Start Screen unless you Update. I tried deleting all my files patches extra data and still nothing. I had to install all updates just to get to the screen that asks if you want to play Arcade Mode or Simulation. I might be doing something wrong so if you could test and confirm to see if this "Glitch" still works alot of players including myself would greatly appreciate it.

It's all good man im gonna jump on the game again when I have the time, But fr those still having issues with it if you dont update the do the race I can 100 assure you that the GTR handles much much better with no update

Saturday I started using this glitch.
I did the whole procedure.
When you enter the game, arcade mode, without having done anything, the track will not be available. You will have to use GT Garage Editor and do a load into the game with some trophies for the track appears.
After the track appears you will see that the glitch is possible to do but it is not easy.

The first round (start) you will enter the glitch. The time will be lost (turns red) You will have to do the whole lap and start a new lap, keep in line map to not get outside and get back on track. Have to do as fast as possible.
The big problem is to pass the point where you entered the glitch. Much of the time he plays you again on track.

It is not easy ... even with glitch. Will have to have a lot of patience.
When you return to the track, you have to start all over again.
