1. Start multiman and rip the game to HDD or Install PSN PKG
2. Go to HDD0/games/DEADISLAND Folder/PS3GAME/USRDIR/Data
3. Copy data0.pak to your computer.
4. Open data0.pak in winrar
5. Drag and drop the "achievements.xml" into data0.pak
Click yes to overwrite if prompted.

6. Copy back the data0.pak to the ps3 into this location
HDD0/games/DeadIsland Folder/PS3GAME/USRDIR/Data
Click yes to overwrite if prompted

That's. It, Launch the game via MM or PSN XMB link (after data transfer back to OFW) And enjoy your Plat by the time you get control of your Character in the first level.

You NEED DLC to unlock DLC trophies. else its only 83%

This should work for both Japan and US/UK trophy lists. though I have only tested US/UK.

NO this is not a save. And NO you CANNOT use XPLODER.

How do I start the game? Do I have to be on 4.25? If so how do I start the game from there?

Depends on which version you are using. If its PSN version. Then yes. you need to data transfer to OFW and then launch. the game from XMB.

If you ripped the disc to HDD. Then MM to mount it and then launch from XMB
