I was talking to some friends about how I would rather pay for Xbox LIVE than get PSN for free b/c of the problems I heard on it. And one of my friends showed me this link from GameInformer, although it is older I did not see it posted on here and found it interesting.

This dates back to December but is still being processed by Sony if they will pursue this or not.
Even though a free option would be offered, it may be limited. Xbox has a free option of Silver but you get updates much slower and have no access to online multiplayer. This could happen with Sony.

the premium will just be for (maybe) cross game chat (its being debated for free or premium), Access to many Beta's, Movie's etc. etc.

Try not to insult other members, its ok to prove your point but to call people retarted b/c the facts they have prove there could be a chance it could be like Xbox's LIVE service, doesn't mean they are retarted.

The chart is for the PS3 PSN premium options it looks like, but you should include a link to the site you got this from so not only they are accredited for the chart but also so we can see where you are getting your facts from.

If that is indeed one of the final charts for the PSN Premium options, it is somewhat off in my opinion if they offer more than 2 different options. At several points it could disorganize what many people could do with their friends just because their friends don't have the same premium option as them.

Also, it would be a way to get many members to switch over to premium, because if several of their friends have different Premium options it would be hard for them not only to know which option to choose but even if there is one option, it would be difficult to talk to their friends who are premium. I say this because there friends would probably prefer using those premium options they are paying for to be able to use features with other premium users and not stay in-close of contact with their non-premium friends.

Not even all the premium options above feature the cross-game chat. That alone could cause several problems between friends. Who even knows how many members could be included in that chat whether its 2 or 20? Also, then this would split chat from premium users to their non-premium user friends...

This could definitely cause a huge gap between premium and non-premium users.

I would be extremely pissed off if they downgraded their online service to being more like xbox. lol im not sayin i wouldnt buy id be real pissed

All PSN premeium would offer is beta tests, demos free dlc, theres lots more to0. We found this out when some of PSN users got asked to complete a survey like me
