I got banned for 1 month for calling someone gay on PS Home. He really looked gay to be honest!
My point is that PS Home is highly moderated now and that you should be aware. I just thought I should warn you guys to save you from trouble...
Sony says sexual harassment is the worst you can do on PSN just to let you know

and that they don't take it lightly
Just to help you out, if you get a ban for saying the word "Gay" again, send them an email arguing the ban and explain to them that you was using the wrong as an "adjective".
You will also need to state, that you are sorry for the misunderstanding, but what you meant by the word was, showing a "lively mood" and meant no "sexual harassment" to said person in anyway, and are truly sorry for said misunderstanding.

Add the quote above, also state, that you are truly upset but the idea, that Sony would brand you, as someone that would "sexually harass" anyone because of there sexual preference, and that you find this to be some what of a "defamation of character" on Sony's part, and can understand why they would ban you for said misunderstanding, but as this was not the case, could they please lift said ban.
or something like this:

Dear Sir or Madame,
On said date xxxxx, I was banned from the Sony Playstation network, for allegedly calling XXXXX Gay, I feel there was a misunderstanding, as to the context I was using the Word "Gay", I was using it as an "adjective", with the meaning of having a "lively mood".

I would like to apologies, for the misunderstanding, on my part, as I could have used other word's to express my feeling on said matter, so not to come to this situation, were there is a misunderstanding.
I also feel that the company, as failed to understand there are many different meaning's of words, "Gay" being one of them, and that the company was to fast in banning me, before I could fully explain what I was meaning, I do feel somewhat discriminated against by the company, as word's have different meanings.
As I have said, I am truly sorry for said misunderstanding, but I also feel, that "Sony" took action to fast and the company is boarding on "defamation of character", if I was asked before hand what I was meaning when I used the word "Gay" I could have explained to the moderator, and apologized, to XXXXX for the confusion in my chose of word's, and I do feel that this matter could have been sorted out fairly, and swiftly, without anyone getting, upset or banned from the PSN.
To an end, I would like to ask you to remove said ban, as this was a misunderstanding, and I was not a fault, and would also like to add that I will think before using word's that could be misunderstood for something else, I do understand why the moderator did what he/she did, as it's it wrong to class people and discriminate people on there sexual preference.
I hope you take this email as a truly deep felt apology, and I hope to hear from you soon as to the statuse of my ban after reading this email.
Thanks for your time in this matter.
XXXXXXXXX
An email like this could be a good thing, to think about using, we all know it's BS but they have to take your side of the story too, and as you added "defamation of character", this to them sound's alarm bell's off as this could lead to a law suit, Sony, will then most likely send a response, this could be a harsh warring and letting you off the ban, or them just sticking to said ban, if they do the latter, you can take if to court, or suck it up and take the ban.
Hope this help's, and sorry it's soooooo long lol
