What more is there to try? From my workstation I am not seeing any solutions to this problem in the near future.

Ok so what are the things we can do with linux running on the ps3
1. back up iso
and thats it
we have no access to the hdd through linux
we cannot modify the .pkg correctly
and the ps3 hdd method is too tricky

I'm starting to think it might have something to do with maybe TheUnkn0wn and Hunter have Dev/Test/Debug Unit PS3s.. Maybe that is the trick?
