Well round one goes to SONY, however that will only make the Chinese knock offs more pricey and more in demand! seeing as you can't the LEGIT ones you go to the next best thing. Let's see if SONY can make a comeback in the 2nd round stay tuned......

For me I am against pirating copyrighted games, However I am all for Homebrew, I will also Only back up games that I own.
Some people have standards some dont, Just b/c this is a hacker part of the forum it doesn't mean that we are all for one thing.

So thay are banning it because they thinks that it encourages piracy basically, but, that isn't what the mod was originally designed for. The chip was originally designed to "unlock the door" to the PS3 console hacking scene so that we could gain access to some decent homebrews, emulators, and extras. As long as the court knows this I don't think that the chip will get permanently banned.

I hope that the court realizes that the potential for piracy that this device will create outweighs any negligible good it would do and bans it permanently.
