I have the Triton AX720 and I love them. You can hear people walking around and defusing bombs from a good distance away. It has surround sound and sounds awesome. I see you're from Kissimmee I'm from Orlando, lol.

i read alot of good things from both of the headsets. but i need to read on the specs on both. but just from what i seen really quick, it looks like the triton has alil bit more to offer. even though its 40 bucks more. how long have you had it for? and out of a rating from 1 to 10 what would you rate them? yea reppin florida add me on psn. do you have a 360?

I got the Tritton AX Pros, I would rate it 9 out of 10. I will explain why I don't give it a 10 first of all it takes up one of your USB ports for people that only have two ports this could be an issue. Second of all it has a lot of wiring which is pretty hard to hide. However the actual sound that they deliver is amazing, this is the best money I ever spent. So if you have the cash go for the AX Pro's @ $169 if you don't get the 720's @ $129 but keep in mind 720's are SIMULATED 5.1 SURROUND not TRUE SURROUND like the PRO'S.

**************************
Almost forgot I have a friend that has a set of the ASTRO'S A40 they run @ $250 and I have tried hard to find the diff between his and mine and I can not find the diff, sound quality sounds identical.
The Turtle Beach in my opinion are garbage.

I LIKE FUDGE !!!!
i hav px21 for home use. the sound quality is good and mic is ok but seems uncomfortable on the left ear after a long period of gaming, this maybe due to the extra weight from the microphone being so robust, and the earphones themselves can pop from loud explosions, this isnt very common but has happened to me and a few of my mates but the customer care is fantastic and got a brand new pair for free after 10 days, when we do clan matches and lan partys were usally given ax pro's and they are one of the best headsets ive used for many years , there lighter and feel more comfortable then the px21 and the sound is truly amazing , if u have the money get the ax pro but if on budget the px21 are still pretty decent but if u are using the px21 on 360 the voice chat is a bag of shit , all u get is a buzzing sound so just stick to ps3 with the px21

yes my main concern is the buzzing sound i have head quite a few people saying that about turtle beaches. i think i have heard anyone talking about buzzing coming from the 720's. i was just on astros website and they want 199 for the pro's  thats alil to much i can afford but i dont want to spend 200 on a headset. also if i may ask what is the difference between simulated and true surround sound. i also checked turtle beaches web site they have there DPX21 with 7.1 surround sound for 150 though i hear alot of people say its pretty flimsey. thanks to you i have narrowed down my headset choose between turtle beach DPX21, 720's or the pro ( if i can find it for 169
****edit i did find it for 169 on best buy website, but being on there site it shows that the 720's have a better ratings than the pros O.O

As of right now I don't know any games that support 7.1 Surround I am sure in the future they will but I agree ASTRO'S are highly over priced. I can tell you from using my friends 720's that there is slight hissing but that was on an XBOX not sure about PS3. My AX pro's are on PS3 and no hissing what so ever I will however tell you something that is annoying you know the TT on the side that lights up there is no way to turn that off unless you unplug the headset part from the power plug even when your headset is off the lights is still on it's nothing big though. Best way I can describe the diff between TRUE & SIMULATED is with true surround you will be able to tell where the sound or enemy is coming from exactly as with SIMULATED it might be a lot harder.

i have readed about the hissing with the xbox. and from what i know its due to the fact on the wireless controller being close to the same Frequency with the headphones. and far with the ps3 its no where near close thats why its rare to hear the hissing on ps3.i really dont wanna spend 180 (w/tax) for some headphones but i want those 8 speakers lol. im gonna buy the 720's next week try them out and if i dont like them then im gonna get the pro's. since best buy has a 30 day return policy. also i hear alot of people complaining about to puch wire, not enough wires and also how the speakers and the mic mic goes out. how long have you had your headphones? and have you had any problems with it?gives me some time for my next check. thank you so much for you insite with this product and maybe a few people might learn from this. also i dont mind the lights on the headphone unless i can see them with the coner of my eyes. then i have a problem. do you see light when you have them on (your head lol)?
