I always See alot of people asking what is the best headset for the ps3 that also works with the 360.
So i'm cr8ing this fourm to help people find there own perfect headset
So post what headset you have and what would you rate it out of 10. Also if you could go back in time which other headset you wish you would of bought instead.

the differance between the px21 and the dpx21 is that it comes with a mini amp, this mini amp turns your headset from stearo to 7.1 surround sound but this is not true surround sound. you can buy the mini amp for 80 dollars or 50 pound seperatly. the mini amp is called the dss earforce but after reading some reviews people have the same problem were u still carnt 100 percent pinpoint were the enemy is, when i use my px21 i only know if the enemy is on the left or right so im always in a panic mode of looking left,right,left,right lol the dss makes it abit better so u can tell if there 45 dergrees to the left but u still are in panic mode , go on youtube check some reviews for more insight
bty sony are making a new headset and it looks amazing no specs yet but this could be better then the px21

px21 and dpx21 seem to be kinda on the low end compared to astro a40 or tritton ax pro.

I have had them for about 3 months now, no problems what so ever and I meant when your not wearing the headsets and there sitting on your entertainment center or wherever there's no way to turn the light off. If you don't like the 720's trust me you can't go wrong with the Pro's for the $40 bucks diff it's definitely worth it. Let me know what you think when you get them. :y::y:

I looked into a lot of different headsets when I wanted a new one a few moneths back. I plumped for a set of Turtle Beach PX21s and I love them. I use them all the time when playing MAG and KZ2 and they allow me to hear the smallest of details such as an enemy self healing or repairing an objective while in cover etc. I know people go on about surround sound headsets a lot but I feel many a quite over priced this is why i went for the PX21s to see how they were and if I wanted to I could then buy the Turtle Beach Ear force DSS module that would then turn my PX21s into a surround sound headset. The PX21s cost me ~£50 GBP to buy and I found a UK site that would sell the DSS module for ~ £65 GBP. This doesnt work out much cheaper than say the trittons, but it givves the option to go for the surround if you want it or not after sampling the stereo version. Personally Im not fussed about going for the DSS module because the stereo headset is so good

ASTRO A40 for me, crystal clear quality and I can use it on my xbox aswell

I vote for Turtle Beach Ear Force DPX21, because it is very useful headset for PS3, we can set game volume and chat volume, and everything it's in one

astros get alot of good reviews but i will not pay 250 for them. i would mind paying 200 but 250 is alil to much i think for most people

but the dpx from what i readed really doesnt offer that much compared to TT pro. i think the TT pros are a better deal then dpx. i could be wrong what do you think?

but with the TT pros, 720's or the astros they have REAL SURROUND sound which will be very useful in black ops or mw2. i understand you can hear people reloading so on and so on. but i dont like stero because even though u can hear doesnt mean you can pin point where that is. like you know the person is on the left of you cause you can hear in your left ear. but with real surround sound you can hear more clearly if he is either 90 degress from your left and so on and so foreth. from what i read in the new modes in black ops that can be VERY useful.

yes im going to buy the 720's for sure from best. they have a 30 day return poilcy. so i will wait till my next check from work and spen that extra 40 bucks and get the warrenty from best buy so i can just swap them out with them. then compared to deal with shipping with TT. i average 2.64 in my kd in mw2 without headsets. so i cant imagine how my k/d will go threw the roof with these headset. immmm sooooo freakin happy. thanx a mill bro. i will most def let you know how things turn out i get paid on tuesday i will buy them then and let you know. on a side note i told my girl about them ( we live together) i told her about the T in the headsets and how they glow. i told her the T stands for game Time. which means dont talk or bother me lol
