Ok, I guess lets start with you said this only happens while playing a game so does it happen after your playing for a while or the minute you put the game in it starts ???? we gotta start somewhere ...

You Need To Back up your ps3
Then You delete everything
then restore your ps3 this happen to me on mw2 start it up and froze you have corrupt file kind like a virus my paypal is [email][email protected][/email] your welcome

1. shut off the ps3
2. press and hold the power button until the system beeps twice AND turns off again
3. press hold the power button until the system lets out two fast beeps
4. See Hidden Menu
press number 3 if it doesnt work press number 4-6
also paypal is [email][email protected][/email]
if it works thanks

Heard of this problem a lot and it can be because of a worn out Blu Ray Drive [if you had it since '08 without any replacements, wouldn't be a surprise if the Blu Ray died.]
Try to clean the lenses aswell, but make sure you have the proper equipment to do it.
Also, try restoring your PS3 and see if that helps; although it's most likely your Blu Ray Drive.

It happens after a few minutes, sometimes 5.. sometimes 10...i get barely any lines during nba 09, but when i play nba 2k11 i get a whole lot more, so the more detailed the game the more lines and the quicker they appear.

i tried restoring, it doesnt help
