(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My cousin recently gave me his PS3. It's been used, but it's in great condition.

I borrowed my friend's MW2 to play and I was playing for about an hour when the game started to freeze.
It started freezing at the end of each game, making it so that I'd have to restart my PS3.
When I played Campaign mode, I froze after each mission aswell.

I looked everywhere for a solution to my problem and all I saw was a whole bunch of others with the same problem as I.

I came across this guy who suggested that I do a system restore and then try to play. He said it'd take 7 hours, and I don't want to waste 7 hours restoring to have it end up not working.

So I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if they have - did restoring your PS3 solve this issue?

Yeah, I was playing for a good 1 hour when it started to freeze up.

And have you been playing mw2 often and active for a pretty long time?

Not exactly, my cousin gave me his PS3 which means it's used, the first day I got it I played MW2 and received freezing issues right off the bat.

But like I said, it's a used PS3 so it's no surprise that I had a problem.

Again, don't worry about having to wait 7 hours for your PS3 to restore - I'll test it out tomorrow and will post results on Tuesday because I don't have the game with me right now.

Tried to do that, doesn't work either.
I can play a full round - but as soon as the game finishes, it freezes at the score board and I can't press my PS3 button or anything and I have to force it to shut down.

I see, yeah my brother tried a "quick restore" that was really quick - but the guy who suggested the restore told me it took him 7 hours. He probably had too many things on his system.

I had the exact same problem with my old ps3. I ended up buying a new one.

You didn't try to restore it?
