The RPG sequel will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 THIS YEAR, and is being directed by FFXIII head Motomu Toriyama, the publisher's confirmed.
A trailer was shown at Square Enix's first Production Department Premier press conference in Japan this morning, in which FFXIII protagonist Lightning crossed swords with an unknown, purple-haired character. (We will find out who this is later!)
he last Final Fantasy game to receive a direct sequel was Final Fantasy X, which saw a follow-up which reused numerous character models, environments and audio.
The Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer will be available for viewing on the official site from January 20.
Square Enix also announced Final Fantasy Type-0 for PSP, which is actually the renamed Agito XIII.

Sick as fuk. I loved 13 although i found it very linear but still amaizing story and graphics which is what i look for in Final Fantasy games. Can't wait

being an oldshcool gamer, I find that every time they improve the graphics of an FF game (or any game for that matter) they majorly water down the story, even the battles make no sense whatsoever, its just a bunch of mindless jumping about with random numbers flying around.
and most of the game was just running in a straight line before you can explore. (even Lost odyssey had a world map with an airship that switched between a aircraft, boat AND submarine)
Idk thats just my opinion, I miss the days of tactical battles where you had a chance to think what move to use next, instead I can go to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee while my teammates do al the killing lol

this is sick! wait....what the hell happen to FFXIII-Versus? is this the Versus edition but changed plot? either way, I am getting this game and hopefully someone will have a custom .pkg file or trophy edit for that current CFW.

The first one was a great game. It's the first final fantasy game I've played on the PS3. Cannot wait for this one!
