(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Playstation has send this e-mail to all PS3 users by the looks of it, I've just received it right this minute myself. I am not aware yet what this will mean but be warned I think Sony is finally starting to take action or maybe just scare us?

Don't believe me? go check your e-mail inbox yourself.

Actually they find out what you've been doing if you happen to have your PS3 on and a "possible" connection to the internet.

You don't need to use anything on the PS3, or sign into the PSN, a log of your systems usage stats are sent to Sony servers the minute an active internet connection is found; whether you turned the PS3 on and it was plugged into your router or you turned your router on whilst the PS3 was on and plugged in. Either way, the PS3 sends them info.

Mine has been unplugged from the router since before I jb'ed it and I haven't had this email.

Can’t trickshot me!
I haven't gotten a message from sony, But when my ps3 was on 3.55 i used to host cls, but deleted everything before i updated. Is the message only for the people who updated without deleting anything?

I think all PSN members get this e-mail send to them.
Make sure you check the right e-mail account.

I'm not 100% on this...but Sony isn't targeting hackers with this. If you actually read the email it pertains to piracy not hacks or patches. Yes the JB falls under the "devices" that they are talking about, but it's only listed as it allows backups, etc.. to be stored on the PS3 which they don't want. So this is not about script running it's all about piracy instead, and this needs to be noted. Every report or post makes it sound like they are going after the ones hacking the game. This is totally false, and is nothing more then an assumption because it involves Jail Break. As stated before, it's only being targeted because of the piracy aspect of things.

Case in point, Sony not once has stated in an open statement (REGARDLESS of TOS) don't HACK any game. Sony has only repeatedly in open statement stated do not make BACK UPS. It's pretty simple as to what they are after.

The Devs however are the ones targeting hackers and script runners not Sony.
