You guys know that Kmeaw isn't the only means to have "Install Package Files" visible on the XMB, it can be either a Dev Kit or a Debug PS3, don't just assume it's CFW.

Wow... Have none of you ever heard of DEMONSTRATION MODE? That's how stores install demo apps. It's just disabled on default view. They aren't running a jailbroken PS3, nor one on CFW. It's the exact same PS3 that your local Best Buy has.
