What happened to causes like Scientology, Wikileaks, Westboro or ****ing with Hal Turner and that pedo they helped catch? I can understand they may not like what Sony is doing when it comes to restricting what we can do with objects we buy, but this seems more like the "omfg, banned for haxors on CoD" trolls would end up doing.



I don't think you can generalise them all as being script kiddies. Some of these guys (and girls) go out of their way to do some serious issues. Yes there is the occasional troll hack (I think they attacked an epilepsy forum once) but it's the major stuff that gets in the news, while shit like this just hurts the overall perception of Anon.

They're all the same to me; Attention Whoring kids looking to get people to say "OMG look at that!". The sad thing is, people are actually trying to stick up for them.

Well there is always going to be people who stick up for them regardless of what they do. I'm not one of them though. While I do support some of the actions they've taken in the past, the fact it took them so long to do something about this is a joke. I'd bet good money that they're only interested now because the guy who started this attack on Sony got banned from PSN.

See I wouldn't be willing to give them a pass on anything, even their past actions. What needs to happen, is someone needs to kill their website and IRC Channels and keep them down, aswell as any new ones they put out.

I'm curious to see how sony will handle this. What "Anon" is doing is considered Cyber Terrorism, so it wouldn't be hard to get the FBI involved, and between them, sony, and private investigators, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next few weeks we see Anon either giving up, or end up with a knock on the door.
