Sony is violating the rights of it's users and invading the privacy of individuals. They are breaking the law.... but since they are a huge corporation they can flex their muscle and carry out such acts with the individuals that Sony labeled as violators of their products. No laws were broken... it is not illegal to hack something that you purchased as long as you are not using it for illegal acts such as pirating. It is also not illegal to distribute tools to aid people in hacking their own systems. If that were the case, people who buy automobiles should not be allowed to fix their own vehicles or perform modifications to it like installing better breaks or putting in a better stereo system.
What laws are Sony breaking? People keep saying that they're breaking the law, but can't say how.
They also are not invading anyone's privacy. If you're referring to the IP Addresses that they subpoenaed, then you should read up on IP Addresses and what they actually show. Without them getting your ISP to give up your information, the only thing Sony gets to know is what ISP you're using and where that ISP is located.
"Hacking" your own system is not illegal. Bypassing Anti-piracy measures however, and distributing the methods to do so is illegal. That is what this lawsuit is about. Sony is not suing him for simply changing things on his own system.

Enter "Anonymous". They understand that Sony is breaking the law and targeting individuals in an effort to control the end user. Sony is also violating several privacy laws of the individual.
Again, this keeps getting said, but nobody can say exactly which law is being violated.

Everything is control...control...control! If I buy something I should be able to do whatever I want with it.
And you can, provided what you want to do is not illegal.

"Anonymous" is not a group of terrorist, they are not a malicious mob, they are not a destructive group of individuals. "Anonymous" is a mass of individuals who have quite frankly had enough of the bullsh!t. The more control you place on something... the less control you will end of having.
DDoSing actually is illegal. Not many script kiddies know this however and do it anyway. And if you look up what defines Cyber Terrorism, the Anonytwats fit right in with that definition.

It's a new era and a new generation of individuals are emerging who will not remain idle and let people be taken advantage of.
This "New generation of individuals" need to grow up a little bit and do a little research on the laws and rights they claim to be protecting. Right now, they're only hurting their own reputation. The reason they stopped the DDoSing on the PSN? They were pissing people off instead of getting the cheers of support they were hoping for.
As I've said, if people genuinely feel cheated and like Sony broke the law, where is this "Class Action" that everyone keeps talking about and threatening?
If Sony is violating privacy laws, why has no action been taken? And don't bother chalking it up to "They're a big corporation", because it takes a lot more than that to get away with breaking many of these proclaimed laws.
