In reality people who use a product for the unintended use of the product for illegal or misuse of the product should be punished in some degree or measure, thats just the way it works. But since a bunch of nerds are raging over something they shouldn't even be involved in is JUST RETARDED. I think what sony did was completely right. People were forced to give up otherOS; they want to keep playing the games that require newer fw's which do not include otheros..

Basicly you buy a product with online features/otherOS feature, and when you gave sony your money they take one away??

Anyway great job on the "update" sony...i mean downgrade..

Years ago when i bought my 2500 USD (!!!) aibo robot from them, some guy released applications to easily create your own skits (i.e make your own robot do your own dances etc etc) ...a bit later sony noticed and forbid the software immediately...We all paid 2000+ dollar for this thing and sony decides we cant code for it ourselves...

Sony is run by fkn control freaks who want your cash, and want the end user to have minimal acces to their own electronic devices.
