(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok i recently found this way on YouTube and tried it and the reason i didn't record is because i thought it wouldn't work.... BUT IT DOES!

This wont damage anything, there can be a game and HDD in the system while you do this and it wont mess it up.

Things needed:
- 2-3 Towels or shirts
- Hair dryer
- Fan (optional but takes less time with it)

First off place the PS3 on the 1st towel/shirt like this:
You must login or register to view this content.
(ignore the white specs)

Next wrap both sides up then the back up like so:
You must login or register to view this content.

Then do the same thing with the second towel/shirt but flipped it over and wrap it:
You must login or register to view this content.

After that take your hair dryer and put it about 3-4inches from the back of the ps3:
You must login or register to view this content.
(yes thats a flash light.... i couldnt find the hair dryer its just for an example)
Leave the hair dryer running for 15 minutes (no less and not much more or you will melt your ps3)

Pull the ps3 out the towels (it WILL! be hot) then place it in front of a fan for 5-10min:
You must login or register to view this content.
(you will hear snapping... its because the plastic getting hot then cold quickly)

This is a video i found (he did a box but towels work better because it keeps the heat in better)

You can fix an xbox 360 with a similar way like this its supposed to overheat the system adn reset it or at least thats how its supposed to work for 360. Ive done it on my 360 before but it only worked for like a day

Do a barrel roll!
I watched a vid of a guy doing this with his xbox that had rrod. Instead he left he system on in a towel for 30 min and it worked. This is ps3 which is more crambed internally than a 360 so i would do it the hard way to avoid any risks.

Can’t trickshot me!
LOL! this definitely won't fix the YLOD. You need to open your PS3, dust off any dust found, clean the fan, clean both cpu with 90% isopropyl, use a heat gun (not a hairdryer) on both cpu, repaste with artic silver 5 because it's the best quality, and put everything back together.

It will only last you for about 2 weeks tho then you gotta do it again... Better way to do it is with a heat gun and applying new thermal compound. Check youtube their are tutorials on it
