however, Debug PS3's cannot do this as they will update to retail firmware.

We can use this link to download Debug firmware, but i do not know the effect of Debug firmware being installed on Retail PS3. If you click on the debug link, it give you a link to download the Debug 3.60 firmware

Yes but you will get the same error when installing. You might be able to get past the update list and download it on your PS3 but as soon as it starts to install, I think you'll get the same error.

Sorry for being a noob but what does debug do

if ur system isnot in debug then this means that its not capable, an idea might be like if its a us update wont work on a uk update kinda speak way

WOW download at same time that debug updat downloaded faster than ofw 3.60,, i even clicked the ofw first
