also, u guys are missing the whole point of this thread....i dont care about PSN being down at all.......its all good....time to chilax with family this easter anyway....

the main point of the thread is that if we ever had to pay for PSN one day, it doesnt mean security would be any better than it is now...

it's common knowledge sony needs to step up their game security wise....but bringing down a whole network for 5 days now leaving 70 million users WORLDWIDE in the dark is RIDICULUS....

the TRUTH is that they did not bring it down as they CLAIM.....it was brought down by hackers....and not being able to bring it back up yet is down right EMBARRASSING FOR A COMPANY THAT SIZE.....

Oh ffs, what's the point of you saying this? Are you trying to get people to switch to 360? PS3 equally matches the 360. In fact, I think even more since I can watch Netflix, Qriocity (Which 4- going on to 5 days of my trial GONE.) and other premium entertainment sh*t. you are an idiot, plain and simple. Nothing is unhackable/uncrackable, its a fact. It took hackers very very long to do anything with the firmware Sony built and even then, what have they done with except just toy around with a few lines of code? They are incapable of building their own firmware because GameOS is too difficult and time consuming to hack. All of these guys are like "OMG, WE HAXED SONY, WE ARE 1337, WE LIKE HAVING SEXZ WITH OUR LAPTOPS AND WE JUST JIZZED IN OUT PANTS OMG" Do you even know wtf they did?

They just mess around with some of the code and say they've done everything. If they really hacked Sony they there wouldn't be a patch would there? What they are doing is just exploiting some badly written parts of GameOS to do some things the PS3 was not meant to do.

Back to Servers, Sony does a great job because they keep PSN up with their own money(profit they get from selling PS3 idiot, they could always keep all of that AND charge for PSN but they don't so stop talking like an idiot) Sony is doing the best it can and does not LIE. They are not the most honest company there is (who is really) but they do their best and I'm happy with it. If you aren't then gtfo.

I think it literally took 1 month to hack the xbox -.- There was definitely modchips around 2 months after release

360- Hacked in a month or 2 of release and they don't seem to give a fk

PS3- Hacked 3 Years after release and they constantly update it to make sure nothing like that will happen again.
