So where do we get off this idea that if we start paying sony for PSN everything will be just OK..... LETS NOT BE NAIVE........
even if we pay for PSN, do u REALLY think sony's security will get BETTER? HELLL NOOO...... Hackers will still fawk up sony no matter what......rightly so....
Listen...this thread is not about complaining, its all about sony's ineptitude to do things right in the 1st place.....

Actually, the servers and security would be better if it was pay to play like xbox, microsoft used the pay to play funds for the servers to keep them at their most potential, if sony did that, then playstation would be alot better in a few years, not as good as xbox cause they were smarter and did it first.

absolutely right, ps3 took years to do, which the result was geohot. and microsoft wants to hire geohot from what i heard.

Sony's security will never get better, why? Becuase the only way it will happen is if they rebuild a whole new system. As far as I'm concerned, that won't ever happen unless EVERYONE with a ps3 takes there's back.
And for the people trolling this thread telling people to get lives.. you're on a gaming website.. I don't think anyone has the space to call people nerds and no-lives.

Well that would be your opinion, and just shouting out to you for saying this, cause lots of people say this crap have no idea how hardcore gamers feel, we have lifes too, im one of those parting hardcore gamers, who get drunk with friends and then play psn, xbl is the same way, when i used to have xbox live.

Thats where your wrong, but right at the same time.
Sony is like Xbox, the base console which you can still hack or mod, but the serverside is not console related, in otherwords all they have to do is rebuild a new serverside just like xbox did when they got hacked. In otherwords, no more hackers unless you mod your console like xbox does nowdays. So you cant compare both when it comes to security, Xbox got hit first, thats why xbox is now better, and now PS3 is getting hit, so its their turn to rebuild a better serverside like xbox did.

tbh I think they're doing that now.. I think we will see some big changes when PSN comes back up.

They prolly have to, psn has gotten ****ed up alot. For them going in to changed the error code to "we are under going maintenance" pretty much shoes that, well atlest they wont be lazy and sitting around anymore up psp2s asshole for a the moment.
even though psp2 looks orgasmic..
