"When making the May 1 announcement we were unaware of the extent of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers, and we are taking this opportunity to conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system,” said Patrick Seybold, senior director of corporate communications, in a blog post on Friday.

Sony executives had said May 1 that they were aiming to get parts of the service back up within the week, but now they mention a full system reboot.

The biggest concern for gamers now is whether or not a full system reboot is going to be required. That would keep PSN down for weeks to come.

Hm ya a full system restore sounds about right for a month. Hopefully PSN is up soon though :\

So when it first went down it was 2-3 days then it was up to 1 week, then it was ment to be this week just gone, and now its end of month, sony make your mind up, plus im also glad i got a xbox and CoD and all that, everything is much better.
