"When making the May 1 announcement we were unaware of the extent of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers, and we are taking this opportunity to conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system,” said Patrick Seybold, senior director of corporate communications, in a blog post on Friday.

Sony executives had said May 1 that they were aiming to get parts of the service back up within the week, but now they mention a full system reboot.

The biggest concern for gamers now is whether or not a full system reboot is going to be required. That would keep PSN down for weeks to come.

Sony WTF, it would probably be up sooner if the 1 engineer they had working on this problem didnt have to stop for bathroom breaks. What a shame. A bit depressing though, but it's cool. Single player is getting boring. And my weenus is pretty sore from fappin every 3 hours when I get off work. Lame. Depressing information, and really Sony? Three weeks ago, it was 'undergoing maintenance'. Then it was announced, 'some services should be up by the end of this week'....that was what? 2 weeks ago, and guess what you ****ers? NOTHING has come up.
