"When making the May 1 announcement we were unaware of the extent of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers, and we are taking this opportunity to conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system,” said Patrick Seybold, senior director of corporate communications, in a blog post on Friday.
Sony executives had said May 1 that they were aiming to get parts of the service back up within the week, but now they mention a full system reboot.
The biggest concern for gamers now is whether or not a full system reboot is going to be required. That would keep PSN down for weeks to come.

Sony have never given us a DATE, so why post shit like this as if it was ment to be back online by a certain time. people are dumb and are too quick to post shit to get Rep+ ... Go and look at the OFFICIAL SOURCES and READ them there has not once been a ETA just vague estimates.
they said by the end of this month it should be back online and everything back up running as normal. HENCE THEY SAID SHOULD that means no ETA it could be or it may not be. so dont cry if its not.
/facepalm, what i say might sound harsh but id rather hear the truth than bullshit retypes of old and fake news.

Damn relax, I just posted this as I thought some of you may want to know about it. I never go in this section anyway, I haven't played on my Playstation nor my Xbox for over half a year.
