How To Set Up xLink KAI
1. Download and Install xLink Kai Ver. 7.3.1.7 from the link provided with in the video description
2. Now on your computer click START > ALL PROGRAMS > XLINK KAI and RIGHT CLICK on any one of these CONFIGURE KAI OR START KAI OR START USER INTERFACE and click on PROPERTIES.
3. Go COMPATIBILITY > COMPATIBILITY MODE and make sure you pick the one in brackets (SERVICE PACK ?) ALSO MAKE SURE IT RUNS AS AN ADMINISTRATOR.
4. Now go back to START > ALL PROGRAMS > XLINK KAI then click on CONFIGURE KAI
5. Go over NETWORK ADAPTER and have "Autodetect and lock" selected then have a tick ON on "AUTO OPEN CHAT" then enter your details so u dont have to re-enter it every time finally click ok to close the window.
6. Now you can go ahead and start your xLink Kai via START button on your computer
How To Use XLINK KAI
7. Top left corner select SWITCH TO DIAOGNOSTICS MODE then switch your PS3 ON
8. Once your ps3 is on go ahead and click on SWITCH TO DIAOGNOSTICS VIEW on top left corner now you should see a blue bar with some codes written in it, that means you are connected to xLink Kai.
9. Again go to top left corner click on SWITCH TO ARENA MODE then choose your platform PS3 then First Person Shooter and choose a game to play (once your in the arena u can make your own arena or u may join other arena's).
10. To join other arena's, u must join in lan party
11. To create your own arena and let others join, u must create a game.
Enjoy and have Fun untill PSN is back

Hmm i cant figure out how to join a game
i did everthing like in the TUT, started xlink then went to diagnostic mode and view. there were 2 lines with numbers and letters like D58C2254PL
then i went to arena mode black ops zombies joined a chat there.... he opened the game and when i go on my ps3 to LAN party join there is nothinng listened
???

Need help bro. Do i have to connect the Ethernet cord from my PC to my PS3 or something else cause i cant connect.
This is how it is right now. ( Modem connected to router. Router connected to PC and PS3). Would it work. and How do i forward ports on D Link DIR 615 router cause X link doesn't work for me

make sure you open xlink first then yr ps3
yes the way you have it is fine and it should work.
I didnt really touch my router settings so u may not need to.

I tried this the other day with little success. When trying to config my internet settings on my PS3 it couldnt configure the IP address. I have no idea what ports I have to forward to achieve this, however. If thats what I have to do. My laptop was connected wirelessly to my wireless router and my PS3 was connected via ethernet to my laptop. Any suggestions...
