Theirs some things that have to be changed:

You open port 30000 to 34500 UDP, dont open UDP/TCP because UDP only will work way better.

If you still haveing problems connecting to few people try and change the Kai Port in "Configure Kai" to 0. That should work aswell.

The newer version of Kai, 7.4.18 doessnt work for few people. It seems to be an C++ thing, so if you know how to debug C++ you can debug it. Something with the PSSDG servers..

PS3 wireless should work fine, but the router must be cable connected to the PC. I have my PS3s running wirelessly since too far away from the router for cable.

UPDATE
My setup is as follow:

Modem
|
Wireless Router ---- (WIRELESS) --- PS3s
|
(LAN CABLE)
|
PC with xlink

OK I am already connected wired which is the best way to have it as I have no issues what so ever.
So I had a go at your WIRELESS connection set up and I've tried for the past hour and had no connection to my PS3 and my mac was RED all the time as soon as I changed it to WIRED My mac changed instantly to BLUE and I was back where I was playing COD again.
So therefore I DO NOT SUGGEST anyone to have there connection wireless.

And I am confused how in the hell r u able to play with your mac RED? EXPLAIN PLZ!

What is your PS3 DNS servers set to? I have more than one PS3 connected wirelessly in my house since they are in rooms too far away for cable. As long as the network card in your PC is cabled, and also supported, this setup definately work. You will get a DNS error if your network is enabled and auto login set on the PS3. I set my PS3 DNS to my router. The key here is the PC network card. It must be able to lock.

UPDATE: Just to add, it is much better to have the PS3 cabled - without a doubt - but for people with a wife who dont like them making holes in the ceilings and walls, or dont approve of cables all accross the hallway, and the PS3 is too far away - this will work. However, I dont ever host since my upstream is sh%$.

Also, the PS3 must be wirelessly connected to the same router the PC is cabled to. I wrote a piece on ps3iso quite a while back on some tips getting it to work:-
