Well basically a lot of the time, you can change the FW of factory PS3's (brand new), usually when they come out of the factory, the are on FW 0 and it usually asks you to update to the latest firmware, with these you can update to whatever firmware you want! The most popular as I say is 3.41, jailbreak is available on this firmware, so I recommend this firmware enjoy! (P.S. once updated to a firmware you CANNOT downgrade)

You may not have heard of all of these firmwares, because some are not as popular as others, but if you're going to update to a good firmware, I recommend 3.41 because it's ready for jailbreak

Not all the Firmware's, you forgot 1.20(debug) firmware. Thats what the game developer's use, and it automatically updates to 3.61(debug) like on my white tester PS3!

ill add in 1.20 and no it doesnt I bought a new ps3 the other day and updated to 3.41, but decided to go for 3.61 to play online with everyone else, so was there any reason to groan at this thread?
