you may be wondering : "WTF DO I WANT THOSE FOR?" :wtf:

Well basically a lot of the time, you can change the FW of factory PS3's (brand new), usually when they come out of the factory, the are on FW 0 and it usually asks you to update to the latest firmware, with these you can update to whatever firmware you want! The most popular as I say is 3.41, jailbreak is available on this firmware, so I recommend this firmware Smile

enjoy! (P.S. once updated to a firmware you CANNOT downgrade)

These files aren't mine, I do not take credit for them, almost all links are from megaupload.com, the ones which aren't will be specified.

You may not have heard of all of these firmwares, because some are not as popular as others, but if you're going to update to a good firmware, I recommend 3.41 Cool Man (aka Tustin)

ill add in 1.20 and no it doesnt I bought a new ps3 the other day and updated to 3.41, but decided to go for 3.61 to play online with everyone else, so was there any reason to groan at this thread?

in one of your other quotes you said that when you buy a ps3 they are not lower than 3.41, does that mean when you buy a new ps3 they will update it higher than 3.41?
