Rootkey = per console key. You would need to dump your own key in order to decrypt your bootloader and metldr as far as i know.

In layman terms, we are one step closer to a ‘hacked’ PS3 consoles on newer firmwares. Although they don’t plan on making an actual firmware, finding the exploit is the toughest step…its all a cake walk from there. If downgrading isn’t your style (or you own a slim), have patience, things are looking pretty good.

you don't need 3.60+cfw to play new games, when an update come outs the game reads from the new eboot.bin in the update and the updates are encrypted in the old keys, and if they start to encrypt their update pkgs in the new 3.60+ keys then all we need is the new keys to decrypt the update pkgs and then re-encrypt them with the older keys and not a 3.60+ cfw but someone will take the keys and make a cfw for all the kiddies who can not last a day without their online cod and updated, and then they will get their challange lobbies.

Yea but it seems so much easier to have a new cfw and it might get the scene going again
