I would imagine many of you already have some of these components, and won’t need this premium version and could expect a stripped down version of just the board for $50 which is not too bad, and still cheaper than a second PS3.

This IS the solderless one. By solderless they meant no solder WIRES. Its pretty simple to do it don't worry. Practice on something else a couple times (something you don't need) then do it on your slim. For phat you need solder wires.

cpl of questions.....do u need to update to ofw before u can use this piece of kit? does it allow psn access? can we still use all our games that have been back-ed up since end of last year? i have the original ps3 with emotion engine, nand flash i think, will this just plug and play on my machine? rep to whoever gives straight answer...W

Still a little confused on the pricing, so the 88 was for the "premium" package which came with the gift box, screw driver and such. but really it is about $50? and where can i preorder the $50, because all i see for preorder is $88 or even $98. Thanks for your help
