I would imagine many of you already have some of these components, and won’t need this premium version and could expect a stripped down version of just the board for $50 which is not too bad, and still cheaper than a second PS3.

CFW is considered a software mod which is easy to patch through releasing new firmware updates. Hardware mods are way harder to patch because if they want to patch the flasher's it would require them to make new hardware revisions to the PS3 and it would only get patched on the new PS3's that sell with the new hardware revision. As of now they have not implicated any security measures that stop hardware flashing on PS3's currently selling. Everyone knows hardware mods are harder to patch then software mods.

You have only a ps3 ,buy a proskeet V1.1 “CRYSTAL BLUE LIMITED EDITION”.
It will support 4 nand (1activ+1backup for each fw) !!!
I suggest to open a new thread about ps3 chips - remember the ps2 story ...

They are doing the 3K limited editions first which com with a clip for slims. THAT MEANS NO SOLDERING AT ALL. They delayed shipping to the end of September to the 1st of October. I can't wait.
