I platinumed Fallout 3 and New Vegas and have to say my favorite weapon was the Lincoln's Repeater. It never let me down.

Next to the fatman, the alien blaster is by far the most powerful weapon in fallout 3. It has no meaning, its an easter egg for people who risked exploring.

There's also a random encounter that will occur when walking around the Wasteland. It's pretty rare but when it happens you'll see a explosion in the sky. Look around the area and you should find a Firelance, which is similar to the Alien Blaster, and some more ammo (24 cells).
