Post: YLOD HELP please!!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i have a fat ps3. I have taken it apart and re-flowed it then added arctic silver 5 and reassembled it. Then i plugged it all up and i still get a yellow light of death. Can someone please tell me what u think the problem is.

I've noticed that with some ps3's(seen mostly on fat 80gb+ non backwards compatibles) that sometimes the ylod is caused by the ram chips underneath(opposite side of cpu/gpu) . sometimes there are signs of solder leaks(little balls on the casing or even right next to the ram chips probably do to overheating). usually if I reball a system and it still has ylod I remove and reball the ram chips and they usually work.

tbh i had the same problem and i fixed it and it only lasts a couple months i recommend buying a new ps3 it will cost more fixing it then buying a new one
