(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so yesterday I just got off my PS3 from playing MW2 and then I went back on later and BAM, the YLOD. So my brother tried cleaning it out and still never worked so he looked for people online that would fix it and today we found a guy in the same area as us. When my brother spoke to this guy, (he's an expert with PS3's) he said that the cause of the YLOD was MW2 because the processor of the PS3 cannot handle the game being on for too long. He said other CoD's can be left on like 2 days at a time. So by tomorrow I will have my PS3 back and my brother is also gonna buy cooling fans.

This is just a warning to you guys, do not play MW2 hours on end and leave it on overnight or whilst you aren't even playing it (like I did).

I laugh upon this as the smart thing to do wud be to buy insurance wen you bought your ps3. Only $30 for 3 years and can save you if your ps3 malfunctions

I have had ylod 6 times 1st time with waw 2nd through 5th with mw2 and last time with fallout3 it has nothing to do with the game its just a overheating/bad design problem, but if it makes you feel better blame what u want

MW2 made my 80GB PS3 YLOD. Was I mad? Of course. But it wasn't MW2 that caused the YLOD. My PS3 had been overheating for weeks, MW2 just happened to be in there when it finally gave in. It could have been a PS2 game and the same thing would have happened.

Every time a new game comes out you see "*new game* causes YLOD!" and "*new game* causes RROD!". MW2 was the biggest game launch of all time, so you expect it to be in lots of peoples PS3s. Other games don't get this kind of attention, so its more common for MW2 to be in the disc slot.
