(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so yesterday I just got off my PS3 from playing MW2 and then I went back on later and BAM, the YLOD. So my brother tried cleaning it out and still never worked so he looked for people online that would fix it and today we found a guy in the same area as us. When my brother spoke to this guy, (he's an expert with PS3's) he said that the cause of the YLOD was MW2 because the processor of the PS3 cannot handle the game being on for too long. He said other CoD's can be left on like 2 days at a time. So by tomorrow I will have my PS3 back and my brother is also gonna buy cooling fans.

This is just a warning to you guys, do not play MW2 hours on end and leave it on overnight or whilst you aren't even playing it (like I did).

My brother spoke with a guy that has been working on PS3's for a really long time. I think he knows what he's talking about. But fine, go do the opposite of what I tell you and when you get YLOD, I'll laugh.

I have warranty so I wouldn't care. I know a few people who have had YLOD, all playing different games!

Well that guy doesnt know what hes talking about. YLOD is caused by overheating of the system which is usually caused by playing any (disk based) video game to long. And since people have been playing MW2 non-stop thats just the game in while it happends.

You lose all data on that HDD unless you backed it up.
