(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I'm opening this thread up for speculation, or maybe it's been already been announced, but I haven't heard anything on whether PSN and PS3 related achievements and profiles will stay together on one network. IMO, theres a few different things that could happen:

- PS3 & PS4 and achievements from both as well as profiles stay the same on one network (hopefully)
- PS3 network completely cut out of PSN
- Two different networks (with possibility of PS3 version eventually phased out)
- Someone mentioned that Sony might do a complete network sweep, and reset everybody (would hate this the most, I have a lot of shit on PSN I've worked hard for)

I was thinking the exact same thing. If they changed the network too much, there would be a massive amount of complaints coming both from me and the rest of the Playstation community.

I hope psn updates the XMB like xbox does the dashboard

ps3 will still be updated till 2015 after that they said they wouldn't be updating it anymore so when that happens hackers will own ps3 so better off to leave ps3 and go to ps4 soon as possible

It will be a new network. This will stay the same.. no changes.

I think PSN for the PS3 will be online for couple of years. I'm not going to buy the PS4 once it's released. I might play the PS3 for 6 motnhs or an full year.

I think the PSN for PS3 and PS4 will be the same.

Most likely they will allow of new usernames and will allow users to connect their old accounts with their new ones to have their stats appear. PS3 network will not go down, they have sold new PS3's and will continue to sell them for a few more years on top of the PS4. If they were to suddenly phase the PSN for PS3 out in 2-3 years, they would have lawsuits up their ass as PSN is advertised as part of the PS3. Give it 10 years and they can do that.

I doubt they will reset anyone.
