Lets all face it, PSN was an utter failure; it was slow, unresponsive, boring (design wise), but worst of all... it was a reason why so many people owned their beloved 360's. I myself own both consoles, well, kind of. My sliblings have an XBOX with kinect & I know exactly why Microsoft won this gen, it had a reliable service which was a pleasure to use due to it's beautiful/colourful design <Not Happy or Sad>

Here comes the question. Do you guys think that US, the hardcore SONY fans will be the ones to come out on top this gen? Do you recon SONY learnt their lesson? I mean, SONY will finally have the money to properly re-design PSN & add more servers. FREE is always worse than premium.

If you cannot afford to pay 5quid a month, might as well just stay out of next-gen gaming.

If it honestly improves the experience then yes, it's a good idea. Furthermore, PS+ is a great service (quite frankly, if you're in the EU and you don't have it then you're wasting away) at a reasonable price. However, I'm not sure how much it will help, so at the moment, I'm indifferent...

I think it's a good move by SONY. And, I won't mind paying for online service as long as there is less lag and other miscellaneous BS. Thanks SONY. :y:

Yes, some people think that SONY must have an unlimited amount of money... They expect their beautiful console to be powerful and cheap (which it is) and want to give nothing in return.

Everyone saw it coming so im not suprised and it needed to be done, the servers at the moment are ok but they could be much better and now hopefully they will be up to scratch which im sure sony will do, as they have out done microsoft so far and to let this slip would be a big shame

Ive never understood why people slate PSN? its never been slow, or boring, to me it was exactly the same as Xbox Live, except you didnt have cross game chat, that was the only difference
