I think that Nintendo is going to go the way of Sega. I haven't bought a Nintendo system since the N64. Nintendo was good back in the day but they just aren't relevant anymore. I would love to see Nintendo become a software only company just like Sega and I would love to play some of the classics on the PSN.
The PS Vita is going to make a comeback. Sony is really pushing for it to be a PS4 controller. I plan I buying the Vita once there is a good RPG on the PS4 that uses it. I would love to play Fallout 4 using the Vita as a controller.
I don't see that happening with Nintendo considering that their 3DS is doing exceptionally well. Their mistake with the Wii U was an identity crisis, bad marketing, bad launch line up, and lack of 3rd party developer support. It has potential it just doesn't have anything to really show for it yet.
I don't like the idea of the Vita being used as a controller. I didn't pay all that money for a Wii U gamepad knock off. Much like the Wii U the Vita has suffered the same. I am however looking forward to some games for the Vita such as Killzone, Tearaway, and Batman Origins Black Gate. However, if they can implement the usage of the Vita to enhance certain games I wouldn't mind that like what they did with Sly 4. I could see the Vita being used as a pipboy, but to be marketed as a PS4 controller and stop game development for it to be just an alternate controller. I would not like that at all. It has a lot of potential, and with the price cut it is now as much as the 3DS XL all they need is some more AAA titles.
