m8 it on the spirit jb website, i like u, u helped me jailbreak the 3.1.3 =D , nice. but thats wat is it says.

As you may know, firmware iOS4 was been released to public today. (See the new features You must login or register to view this content..) The bad news is that iPhone 2G and iPod Touch 1G Users will not be able to upgrade to this firmware because it doesn't exist. (iOS 4 for iPad hasn't been released)

So this tutorial will be for (Click the name for firmware download link - Don't use Safari to download it):

So here you have the tutorial in 5 easy steps:

1. First of all, you need to download the firmware from your device from the list I put on top.

2. You need to install the firmware to your device using the next steps:

1. Open iTunes (Download newest version from You must login or register to view this content.)
   
2. Connect your iDevice
   
3. Go to your iDevice on iTunes and Click "Shift + Restore Button"
   
4. Select your firmware and wait untill its installed.
   

3. Download RedSn0w from You must login or register to view this content.

4. Follow there instructions to Jailbreak your device using RedSn0w:

1. Connect your iDevice to your PC via USB
   
2. Load RedSn0w and click Browse. Select firmware 4.0 and click next.
   
3. On the next screen select which packages you want to install. (I recommend installing "Cydia" and "Enable multitasking and wallpapers" -this last just in case you have an iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2G)
   
4. Follow On-Screen instructions to put your iDevice on DFU mode. (Follow them even if your device turns off)
   
5. After reboot load Cydia>Manage> Sources> Edit> Add and add the following source: apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7
   

5. This step is optional (Do it in case your rely on an unofficial carrier) and it's to Unlock your iPhone:

1. Load Cydia>Manage>Sources>Add: repo666.ultrasn0w.com
   
2. Install ultrasn0w 9.3
   
3. Reboot your iPhone
   
4. Done!
