(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so I have been searching and reading all morning trying to find the cause, and potentially a solution to the freezing and connection problems that I, and many others have been facing since Black Ops 2 was released.

What I have found that the most recent Hotfix, that is supposed to aid in Lag and FPS issues, is actually being blocked by some ISP's. Now, there may be other reasons as to why you are not getting the Hotfix, however this is the most prominent reason that I have found.

The Issue that everyone with 20.0.-1, is you don't have the Hotfix. Just like the patch, if you have not updated to the latest path, you cannot play online gameplay.

ISP's that I have found to have a problem with the Hotfix:

Canadian West- Telus
Canadian East- Bell

(Both Telus and Bell are affiliated with each other, so this could be why)

I have not found any other solutions to fix this issue temporarily until Treyarch grows some balls and gets shit fixed, other that to try using a different ISP (Maybe your friend across the street who can play?) to try and obtain the Hotfix.


Please, if you are receiving this error, comment with your ISP, and general area (State). I will add them to the list of potential ISP problems.

You'll find that unless you upgrade to Fibre Optics, no provider will be able to change your connection status.

Sky, TalkTalk & Plusnet (as well as around 3000 smaller companies) all use BT's equipment. Therefore, if BT's equipment is not up to the job, then NO provider will be able to give you a good service.

Just one problem. You are making bold statements without knowing anything about the internet. Firstly, as said above, if you have a BT landline (which you will have because TalkTalk do not have our own equipment and we rent BT's), which means they are responsible for any QoS (Quality of Service) issues you experience.

Secondly, if you are miles away from your nearest exchange, then such a speed is more than likely the maximum that is obtainable on your line. Again, upgrading to Fibre Optics would be your only solution as all other providers (except Virgin) use BT's equipment.

Fibre optic isn't available on my road and the installation of it has been pushed back for over 6 months so far.
My friends can pull host/consistent 4 bars without having fibre optic so i think its fair to say that talktalk is terrible

My Fibre optic is going to be installed on 27th and changing to sky simples hopefully no problems in future.

Did you read half of what I said? If your friends have better equipment and are closer to the exchange, then they will obviously get better connection stupid!

Indeed there is. However, this is to fix the IN-GAME issues and NOT the external Unavailable servers problem

(Or they use a better isp than talktalk)...

This update better fix the "servers unavailable" issue otherwise i think I'm gonna ebay my ps3 and get an xbox.

I'm fed up of ps3 users getting second hand treatment, first it was psn being down for 2 months, then years of getting map packs a month later and now its not being able to connect to the severs for 4+ days after launch, and constant game freezes while david vonderhaar tells me that everything is okay on their end.

The update is fixing the freezing and all that..

FFS... LEARN TO FUCKING READ!!!! BT, Sky, TalkTalk, Plusnet, they all use the same fucking equipment!!!!! What part of this do you not understand? Or are you just that stupid?

Yes, but for those of us who cannot get on the server at all, it will not be fixing anything, thus is irrelevant to us.

I don't understand the part where you try and tell me talk talk aren't terrible.
