What about connection bridging? What if I hooked up my Ethernet from my laptop to my Xbox and just bridged the connections? Not sure if that would be the same thing as the Virtual Router thing.
I don't know how much of this works, so I may be way off base here.
I am pretty sure its the same thing as in your laptop is handling the packets, try it and report back so people with same thing can see if it works.
Also it seems this issue is becoming popular wikipedia, youtube, and some random scientific sites got stuff on it now.
For the record I actually dont know why laptops help LAG but I just found about the issue and tried some stuff till I found what works for me, now others saying it works for them. I wish that guy who worked for talktalk internet could have been more friendly and accepted its helping people and tried to explain it to us.
