Post: Types of Ammunition

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Theres a possible waeapons thread and a lot of suggestion threads but after the fact that there will be different kinds of ammunition being proven true I think there should be a thread about the possible ammunition types.

I think its pretty clear that there will be FMJ Bullets and the already shown "Dragon Breath" shells. But what other suggestions do you guys have.

Also do you want to be able to switch between the bullet types while playing. Imagine having two magazines with you one with a red tape around it and one with a blue tape around it and you can change between them. The red has x type bullets the blue y type of bullets.

So I'll make a list of what I want to see:
Full Metal Jacket Bullets (FMJ)
Hollow Points Bullets
Spitzer (Spire point bullets or Spitzgeschoss)
Ballistic Tip Bullets
The ability to switch to higher Cliber rounds (If the rifle is built to do so of course realism ftw)

What I don't want to see:
High-Speed Ammunition types
Soft Point Bullets
High Speed Ammunition and soft Point Bullets is sorta like ruining the game because these stuff is 1 Shot = Death.

Omg I was gonna say Hollow point bullets lol. I think some of your suggestions may be true.

One thing I've ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted in CoD4-6... Alternative firing. Like CoD1 (idk if #2 had it too) where you're Thompson could be full auto or semi. I mean think about it on CoD 5 & 6, what was the Down button for on multiplayer? Nothing. This button could be for to switch alternate fire modes.

Really? So I'm not the only one... there would be so many weapons that can 1, 3 or automatic but no one ever features it.

I know right, Why did they stop alternate fire after CoD1 (or #2 idk)?

Imagine if the FAL could alternate between full/semi auto (maybe burst too). High caliber weapons like that would be useful (far range- semi, CQC-full auto). I want to contact Treyarch (no not Twitter, they never reply to me -__-") I have a few suggestions =/

Well I already like the FAL without that function but still it would be cool. It really sucks also with the FAMAS... The FAMAS is able to do full auto too. But there is still a lot of very realistic stuff hat isn't in there even though it being the most realistic shooter ever since.

I looked around a bit and found some more interesting stuff especially for shotguns theres a lot of stuff that is seriuosly badass.

For Shotguns:
Bolo rounds are made of two or more slugs molded onto steel wire. When fired, the slugs separate, pulling the wire taut creating a flying blade, which could theoretically decapitate people and animals or amputate limbs.

Gas shells spray a cone of gas for several meters. These are primarily used by riot police. They normally contain pepper gas or tear gas. Other variations launch a gas-grenade-like projectile.

Flechette rounds contain aerodynamic darts, typically from 8 to 20 in number. The flechette provide greatly extended range due to their aerodynamic shape, and improved penetration of light armor. American troops during the Vietnam War packed their own flechette shotgun rounds, called beehive rounds, after the similar artillery rounds. (Oh... long ranged shotguns? xD)

And in general I would like to have the chance to choose between slug ammunition and usual buckshots and maybe shrapnel ammo.

"dragon breath's" are not bullets they are shotgun shells.. And I would like to see tracer rounds even though they are little different then regular rounds they are very cool with their trailing effect

I like that stuff but wouldn't you mind the fact that the enemy knows pretty exactly where the shot came from?

While your at it Incendiary ammunition would be cool too.

And yeah corrected that with the shells...

sounds interesting, aslong as it doesn't ruin the game the idea sounds good.
