(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Theres a possible waeapons thread and a lot of suggestion threads but after the fact that there will be different kinds of ammunition being proven true I think there should be a thread about the possible ammunition types.

I think its pretty clear that there will be FMJ Bullets and the already shown "Dragon Breath" shells. But what other suggestions do you guys have.

Also do you want to be able to switch between the bullet types while playing. Imagine having two magazines with you one with a red tape around it and one with a blue tape around it and you can change between them. The red has x type bullets the blue y type of bullets.

So I'll make a list of what I want to see:
Full Metal Jacket Bullets (FMJ)
Hollow Points Bullets
Spitzer (Spire point bullets or Spitzgeschoss)
Ballistic Tip Bullets
The ability to switch to higher Cliber rounds (If the rifle is built to do so of course realism ftw)

What I don't want to see:
High-Speed Ammunition types
Soft Point Bullets
High Speed Ammunition and soft Point Bullets is sorta like ruining the game because these stuff is 1 Shot = Death.

etc. i was playing spitscreen( this is where it is best found ) and if u put on fmj on high rate of fire weapons, it laggs the game up horrificly. this way the shooter can run kill the guy, with out him doing a ton of damage.

now how can u counter act that..? a spaz 12 or commando wont help u if ur lagging out because the enemy are using strikers with fmj.

auto matic fal= over powered. maby if they balence the performance charts out a bit, then that might happen. but knowing the cod series. the charts are going to lie to you, hands down.


Good point on that one ôo I see where youre coming from its only that I never experienced that problem even though using the mentioned guns. But that alternative rounds will be in there is a maybe sad for me lucky fact. Its more of what is going to be ingame. I stated what I'd like in there that isn't to unbalanced and I can say I don't think that FMJ is NOT in there because everyone is already used to it and its one of the most common idea that comes to ones mind because well... Call of Duty had that perk for enhanced bullet penetration and now theres a type of bullets that does the same. The thing is there actually is no such thing as a Full Metal Jacket Shell (Shotgun). There might be a slug FMJ shell but thats only one bullet and if Treyarch makes it realistic there won't be such a thing as a FMJ Shell on shotguns...

I like the idea of alternative ammo, but as previously stated, "balance" would be an extreme issue. One thing I think would be necessary would be to make it an unlock for the gun, much like FMJ is in MW2. I highly doubt they will add alot to something like this anytime soon.

For Shotguns:

I actually hope they are primary.

I appreciate that you like the idea.

I just imagine myself putting in a gas shell and get that two enemys in that small room kind of like people were when a Tabun Gas Grenade hit them in WaW and then reloading two usual shells to quickly take them out. I don't really see anything unbalanced in there for example. And a Bolo round ... yeah for a game like CoD a Bolo round = Instant kill but Bolo rounds are extremely slow and they are the definition of short range there probably is no round going slower and to shorter ranges. I think it wouldn't be unbalanced but it would be awesome to have a shell that is a 100% gorefest!

And by the way... I also want them to be unlocked like FMJ in MW2 now, but a bit harder because its too easy getting them. Instead of getting extended magazines by shooting through walls with FMJ they should let you get kills through walls without FMJ to get the FMJ. Or killing several people with a specific shotgun while their still dazed by a gas grenade to get a gas shell. Something like that. This would make them a bit more rarely and of course it would balance it and yes well... I think they aren't overpowered, but we'll see. The only thing I want to prevent is to get the same like in MW2. I was so happy to hear that in MW2 they had alternative ammunition but when I found out that this only meant FMJ bullets that replace the Bullet Penetration perk I was very disappointed. I simply want Black Ops to have more than just the Dragon Breath shell and FMJ and alternative explosive tips for a crossbow when there is sooo much more!

May I laugh? MW2 being too realistic? MW2 is nowhere near realistic. A thermal sight in Black and White not able to see thermic movements behind walls? There are so many examples im not going to continue because it would be a looong list.
The most unrealistic stuff in MW2 makes it as bad. How is a perk that makes you have no heartbeat realistic? How is it realistic to have a perk that allows you to fall off a cliff without a scratch? How is it possible for a perk to make you cold blooded... there only are animals who are... really!

Infinity put in thermal sight. That makes the game more realistic. Im not talking about skill level.

If you show me a thermal sight like that I will approve that you may call it thermal sight. I only see the sight as a grey nightvision and they had nightvision in MW if I remember correctly.

And by the way... too realistic. CoD is actually in the Genre of realistic shooters that means if the game has to gain more depth it gains more realism that simply how a realistic shooter works. The difficult thing is to balance everything but I think you can actually implement everything you want as long as youre no idiot you will find a way to balance it. MW2 made it a very little bit more realistic but was unbalanced and also had more irrealistic improvements than realistic. I want realism... realism ftw. Switching firemodes ftw, alternative ammo ftw and of course soldiers ftw!
