While I was banned, I bought the PS3 version of it for my brother as a "christmas gift" (which was my excuse to get it for PS3).
Now I can tell you from personal experience, that the PS3 version of black ops is an absolutely shitty experience compared to Xbox. The reason I stress the word compared is because I don't really enjoy black ops now, even on xbox, and this is how I'm comparing the two consoles.
For starters, the PS3 version has a small lag it seems like, even if you're host. this is a result from the low frame rate on PS3. Even lowering your display settings from 1080p to 720p and playing locale only doesn't even help. I personally think that is sad that you have to lower the quality to barely fix a problem that shouldn't be there in the first place.
Secondly, the graphics on the PS3 version seem to be dull compared to xbox. There are also certain features that are not available on the PS3 version, like the ability to bring up a person's playercard while in-game. This is something that I use frequently on Live and it doesn't have it on PS3.
I got to around level 14 on PS3 doing nothing wrong, then I get on and treyarch gives me a message saying how my online rank is corrupted and restored to the last useable rank or some bullshit like that, and it put me back to level 10. It was sort of like a kick in the nuts, and now I really see no point in playing B.O. on PS3 now.
I also think that Treyarch's involvement by banning modders/hackers is annoying. just the small things like setting somebody back 4 levels is a pointless thing for them to do and deters people from playing their game. I just wish they were less involved and only patched gamebreaking things such as god mode glitches or things that actually affect gameplay online, not things such as prestige hacks/gold gun/CT exploits.

Dont worry FlyinIrishman I know what you mean, I also report people with dicks and other inappropriate stuff in their emblem for the sole purpose that I believe they are the type of 10-15 year old faggots who scream and bitch in their mics when they get owned by someone playing legit. I don't report people for hacking or glitching though (unless its in the game I'm playing and it's effecting the outcome).

My thoughts on banning: Treyarch has some audacity banning members before the game is even playable. Fix it first, then police your game. We paid $60 for a usable game. Right now, its not usable.

So you're only banning them out of spite then correct? Because you assume they must be 10-15 so you report them? How isn't that abusing the report system? Especially if you don't report hackers outside of your game?
You do all your reporting out of spite. If someone is glitching in the game you in, and raping you by glitching, they you'll report them?

For starters I'd say 90% of people with that sh-it in their emblem are not even aged 15 (that's how old you need to be in Australia, I dunno about America - if its 17+ there that's even worse lol) so they shouldn't be playing it in the first place. Also how can I report someone hacking that's not in my game? (how would I know they were hacking?). I don't see myself abusing the report system, one of the criteria for reporting is 'offensive emblem' so what makes you say that? Of course I'm going to report someone who's glitching in my game and smashing me because that's not in the spirit of how its to be played, otherwise they wouldn't have set up the report/ban system in the first place.

But to be honest MAN to MAN...Is that penis emblem really offending you? I'm 23 and my emblem is Blackjack....Ace of Hearts, King of Spades, but there is no way I'd report someone because they had a penis, balls or especially a woman's vagina... There is nothing "offensive" about that. Immature and offensive are two different things.
So if you're reporting them because it's actually offending you fine.
But if you're reporting because they are "immature" then that's sorta silly don't you think?
