While I was banned, I bought the PS3 version of it for my brother as a "christmas gift" (which was my excuse to get it for PS3).
Now I can tell you from personal experience, that the PS3 version of black ops is an absolutely shitty experience compared to Xbox. The reason I stress the word compared is because I don't really enjoy black ops now, even on xbox, and this is how I'm comparing the two consoles.
For starters, the PS3 version has a small lag it seems like, even if you're host. this is a result from the low frame rate on PS3. Even lowering your display settings from 1080p to 720p and playing locale only doesn't even help. I personally think that is sad that you have to lower the quality to barely fix a problem that shouldn't be there in the first place.
Secondly, the graphics on the PS3 version seem to be dull compared to xbox. There are also certain features that are not available on the PS3 version, like the ability to bring up a person's playercard while in-game. This is something that I use frequently on Live and it doesn't have it on PS3.
I got to around level 14 on PS3 doing nothing wrong, then I get on and treyarch gives me a message saying how my online rank is corrupted and restored to the last useable rank or some bullshit like that, and it put me back to level 10. It was sort of like a kick in the nuts, and now I really see no point in playing B.O. on PS3 now.
I also think that Treyarch's involvement by banning modders/hackers is annoying. just the small things like setting somebody back 4 levels is a pointless thing for them to do and deters people from playing their game. I just wish they were less involved and only patched gamebreaking things such as god mode glitches or things that actually affect gameplay online, not things such as prestige hacks/gold gun/CT exploits.

That's there job. I for one am glad they do there best to avoid all of what you don't want them to. Mods and codes are fun. "To a point." once everyone has em. It kills the game. Anyone who has ever played Socom knows exactly how it goes. A handful of people can mod. Cool. Game is still great. Mods get leaked. 90% of the people start cheating. Game over. Game is gay. Same thing happen to MW2. Prestige hacks. Gold guns. Etc. All should be patched. They placed things like that in the game to be earned. Not exploited.

its because treyarch are xbox fanboys and made it better for xbox. Clearly ps3 has better graphics and treyarch just ****ed with ps3 so yea
